Founded on the principles of charity, unity and fraternity, the Knights of Columbus was established in 1882 by Father Michael J. McGivney, assistant pastor of St. Mary's Church in New Haven, Conn., and a group of parishioners. Their intent? To bring financial aid and assistance to the sick, disabled and needy members and their families. Knights come from many places, backgrounds, and stages in life, but are all of one Faith, with one common purpose- to put our Faith Into Action.

The UNI Knights of Columbus Council began its mission of service in March of 2010, with a unique mission of service to the St. Stephen the Witness and UNI communities. Giving college students a unique avenue of service and leadership to and within the Church makes this council one of the premiere college KofC councils in the entire country.

Monthly gatherings are on the first Sunday of the month at 5:30pm in the Social Hall of St. Stephen's- everyone is welcome to join us, you don't have to be a member to see what we do!

If you want to take your service to the Church to the next level, consider joining us at http://kofc.org/joinus
