Emily Curlett

My name is Emily Curlett, and I am from a small town in Michigan. I grew up loving sports, especially hockey, which I played in college at Robert Morris in PA and then graduated from THE Ohio State in 2022—huuUUge Bobby Mo & Buckeye fan! I came back to my faith my junior year of college--and since then the Lord has been chasing me down, inviting me to seek in Him all that I had been looking for in the worldly accomplishments that never satisfied me. For a couple years after college, I played hockey professionally and got into coaching, which took me all across the country and even to Europe in Sweden, where God finally won me over. It was from an 800 year old church ruin on an island in Sweden called Gotland that I decided to give my entire life to Jesus, including my lifelong pursuit of hockey, and I applied to be a FOCUS missionary. The Lord left the 99 to seek me and invite me out of dissatisfaction and sin into the fullness of the life he created me to live, and I am determined to share with others the Truth that changed my life, the truth that is found in the fullness of the Catholic Faith
